Hello all and welcome to a new week. Today I am writing about Basia Bulat, I have written about her before (I think in a grab bag) but I may need to write about her more now that I know she shares my affinity for the great Sam Cooke. In fact, this August she covered "Touch the Hem of His Garment" at the Wolfe Island Music Fest. This is one of my all time favorite Cooke songs mainly because of the unbridled passion with which he belts this one out (sadly they didn't let him loose like this enough). Basia manages to capture some of that same spirit, singing her heart out with some real conviction.
